Help Us Build a Brighter Future at New Generation Primary School

​

At New Generation Primary School in Mukono, Uganda, we are partnering with One for a Thousand to help provide hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for more than 200 children.

Many of these students come from families facing significant financial hardship. Some struggle to afford their children's education and even the basic necessities of life, including food and clothing. Some students are orphans, while others live in distant villages and stay at the school because traveling to and from home each day is not possible.

New Generation Primary School provides these children with more than an education. It provides a safe place to learn, grow, receive meals, build relationships, and discover their God-given potential. The school currently serves approximately 200 students, ages 3–15, from Kindergarten through Primary Seven.

​

During our mission trip this summer, The Furnace was blessed to make some much-needed cosmetic improvements to the school. But this was only the beginning. There is still so much more we can do.

Our partnership also provides opportunities to support the teachers and staff who pour into these children every day. One for a Thousand provides support for infrastructure, school improvements, and food boxes for teachers and staff.

We believe that when we pour into the people caring for these children, we strengthen the entire school community.

Our Vision

The Furnace wants to do more than provide financial assistance. We want to build relationships between students in Uganda and students in the United States.

​

Through our mission trips, fundraising efforts, student involvement, and future technology initiatives, we want to give the teenagers we serve in the U.S. an opportunity to pour into their peers in Uganda.

​

Our hope is that these young people will learn that they can make a difference in someone else's life; regardless of how far away that person may be.
